If you have Tessitura integration, you can bring your ticketed digital experiences seamlessly into your app. What digital experiences? Any videos or live streams, virtual tours and talks, online camps and classes, or online galas can easily be added to your app through your Tessitura Integration.
The Digital Content integration is designed to work effortlessly if you have already implemented Platform-Agnostic Digital Content for TNEW. More information about Tessitura Digital Content can be found here.
However, if you are not using TNEW you can still use this integration.
How does it work?
When users log into their account in the app they will have access to their digital content in two places:
-
If you are using the Cards Home screen, they will see the most recent digital content associated with their account on the Digital Content card. If they are not logged in they will be prompted to log in - just like My Tickets.
-
They can access a complete list of their digital content from the Account page of the app.
When a user taps an item they will be taken to that content. You have two options for displaying the content.
-
You can embed the content directly into the app. This is the most seamless experience for users. It requires you to set up a Web Content field populated for each performance in Tessitura with the embed code for that content. If you’re using TNEW, you can copy the embed code you configured in the TNEW administration site.
-
You can redirect users to a website to view the content. This could be your TNEW website or any other website. This option is best if you have configured special access rules for when users can view the content, or if you don’t want to duplicate the embed code.

Tessitura Integration
Go to Control Panel > InstantApps > Digital Content, and click on Tessitura Integration in the checklist. Items you choose for each of these fields will depend on how your Tessitura system is configured.
-
Performance Types: Select the Performance Type(s) that are used to identify Digital Content in Tessitura. You must select at least one item. These come from the TR_PERF_TYPE table in Tessitura. Additionally, performances with the selected Performance Type(s) will be filtered from appearing in My Tickets.
-
Title Web Content (Optional): Specify a Web Content Type to override the title of the content. If no content type is specified, then the default title of the performance (aka Description) will be used.
-
Image URL Web Content (Optional): Specify a Web Content Type for the image URL of the content. We recommend using 16:9 images with the content centered in the middle if the image is cropped to fit a square.
-
Embedded HTML in App (Optional): Specify a Web Content Type with the HTML to embed in the app for the content. If this is specified and the Web Content exists for a performance, then the user will be able to view the embedded HTML in the app. If the Embedded HTML Web Content is not specified or it does not exist for a performance, then the user will be redirected to a website to view the content using the Redirect URL Pattern or Redirect URL Override.
-
Redirect to Your Website (Optional): If you want to access their Digital Content on your website, enter the pattern for your digital content URL’s on your mobile-friendly website (TNEW or your own website). Replace the Perf No with {PERF_NO}. If needed, you can also replace the Production Season No with {PROD_SEASON_NO}.
-
Redirect URL Override (Optional): Specify a Web Content Type that can be used to override the Redirect URL for a specific performance. The value of the Web Content should be the URL that users will be redirected to in order to view the Digital Content.

FAQ
Q: What will users see if they don’t have digital content purchased?
Your users will see the message you customize in the No Content Message field under your Digital Content Settings (see step 4 under Digital Content Settings above).
Q: What determines the display order of the purchased digital content for the user?
The user will see their purchased digital content with the most recently purchased at the top.
Q: Can we set an access time around our digital content?
If you want to control access to the content you have two options:
-
If you are embedding content directly into the app, you can change the embed code before and after the time that users can access it. For example, before users can access the content you can put a message in the embed code field telling them when access will be available. When the content is accessible, you would change the embed code to the content you want them to see. And when the content is no longer available, you can change the embed code to tell users it is no longer available.
-
You can use the Redirect option so that users are redirected to your website to view the content. Your website can then implement any rules pertaining to access. For example, if you use TNEW, your TNEW website will give users the proper message if they don’t currently have access to the content.
In the future we may add access rules for the app that mirror TNEW’s rules.
Q: What are the image dimensions?
The dimensions are the same as your Event images, 16:9 or 960px wide and 540px tall.
