If you have Tessitura integration, you can automatically have donation info sent to Tessitura. This makes it easy to keep your constituent info up to date. Sending your donation information to Tessitura is optional.
The instructions below explain how to set up the Tessitura integration for One-Tap Donations. For instructions on setting up One-Tap Donations see this article.
Tessitura Integration
Go to Control Panel > InstantApps> Donations and click on Tessitura Integration in the checklist. Items you choose for each of these fields will depend on how your Tessitura system is configured.
Tessitura Donation Settings
- Enabled: If checked, donation information will be sent to Tessitura.

Fund: Fund to associate with the donation. Fund requirements:
- Ticketing Indicator checked
- Associated with an active Campaign
- Campaign must NOT have a membership organization. (Required to support Guest Donations using Customer 0) - Electronic Address Type: Used when calling LoginAsGuest to help find an existing constituent with the same email address. Only active electronic address types are displayed.
- Payment Method: Payment Method to record with the order. Only active payment methods are displayed. Payment methods with Payment Type of "Credit Card" are not allowed and have been filtered out as well.
- Mode of Sale (Optional): Mode of sale to set for the order. Only active modes of sale are displayed.
- Sales Channel (Optional): The channel that will be selected for the order. Only active channels are displayed. List comes from TR_SALES_CHANNEL system table.
- Order Category (Optional): The order category that will be selected for the order. Only active categories are displayed. List comes from TR_ORDER_CATEGORY system table.
- Delivery Method (Optional): The delivery method to set for the order. Requirements: Must be an active delivery method and must not require an address.
- Click on Save Changes
Testing Your Settings
Enter a test email. Doing this will verify your settings and will send a test donation of $0.01 to Tessitura. To test a logged in user donation, use an email associated with a constituent. To test a guest donation, use an email not associated with a constituent.
FAQ
Do users need to be logged in to make a donation?
No, users can make a donation if they are not logged in. This increases your ability to convert their interest into a donation.
Plus, with Apple Pay integration you will still get their email address. When the donation information is sent to Tessitura, the constituent is looked up based on this email address. If it is found, the donation will be associated with that constituent. If it is not found, the donation will go on the Customer 0 account and you can reconcile it later.
How do I issue a refund?
Refunds must be initiated from your Stripe account. The InstantEncore control panel has a link to the transaction in Stripe to make it easy to do this.
The refund amount will show up automatically in the InstantEncore donations history. However, you will need to manually cancel the contribution in Tessitura.
